About Huddersfield

The University of Huddersfield, based in West Yorkshire in the middle of the UK, is a great venue for the IAWBH's 14th international conference.  Huddersfield is a market town with many different cafes, pubs, bars, and music venues.  It has a rich architectural heritage with old mills and Victorian buildings.   In the heart of England, Huddersfield offers all sorts of outdoor activities.  From hiking to cycling and climbing, the Peak District and the Yorkshire Dales are only a footstep away.  Its green hills and historical mills make the region extremely popular.  With picturesque moors, the picture-postcard town of Holmfirth, or the towpaths of the canals and rivers of the Holme Valley few regions offer the richness of choice and the striking contrasts to discover the breath-taking outdoors of the Yorkshire Pennines. The University has recently been awarded the coveted AACSB accreditation which is awarded to less than 6% of institutions offering business degree programs. It is awarded as a result of dedication not only to its students, alumni network, and greater business community, but to the higher education industry as a whole.
